We have the winner of our Hole in One Golf Adventure Contest 2015 worth over $400! Congratulations to Wenwei from Duluth, Georgia. She shares, “Oh my, I can’t believe I really won. I also need to thank Pete Dye to win this contest! 🙂 We are very thrilled of this contest. With our first born child going to Purdue this year ( I will accompany him to move in next Monday), we are trying to find all the info for this area. We are really honored to win this prize. We were just discussed over the weekend what will my Purdue Freshman do during the Thanksgiving break with so short of break. Now with the prize, we will be really happy to plan our trip, drive all the way to visit him.”
She answered this question correctly and was picked at random: The question was:
QUESTION: What famous golf course designer is currently redesigning the Ackerman Hills Golf Course?
Wenwei answered Pete Dye which is correct!
Thanks to all who participated in this latest contest! Stay tuned for our next big contest/package we will be hosting this fall!
Today is SPRING!! Spring in Indiana means the snow is gone, the sun is out and golf season is here. Anyone feel like shouting halleluiah? We do! Let’s rejoice by grabbing our golf clubs and taking a swing at life by heading to one of our 162 holes of golf.
My husband, Marc, shares the best thing about spring is getting out on the course with his buddies for a friendly yet competitive game of golf. He said the local courses in Lafayette-West Lafayette are challenging yet diverse as they allow for beginners through advanced golfers. He would rate himself as an intermediate golfer and is happy playing at all of the courses. Many of the courses have a wide range of amenities from GPS systems in golf carts, PGA instruction, pro shops, driving ranges and banquet facilities.
With spring in the air, you may already have plans for other outdoor adventure this weekend, but one suggestion so you don’t miss out on all of our wonderful golf this year is to book a “Stay and Play” golf package for this upcoming summer and fall. Three easy steps and you have booked a fun, golf getaway. First, golfers choose the courses where they want to golf. Battle Ground Golf Club, Coyote Crossing, Harrison Hills Golf & Country Club and the Kampen Course are all participating golf courses that offer great rates for booking a “stay and play” package. The second step is picking the hotel that fits the individual or group’s needs. Golfers can choose from the following hotels: Best Western, Courtyard by Marriott, Days Inn & Suites, Four Points by Sheraton, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn City Centre, Homewood Suites, and Purdue Union Club Hotel. The last and final step is calling the hotel of choice and making the reservation. They will assist in booking tee times for all participants.
Just remember the three step rule; pick your course, pick your hotel, call the hotel to book! We like to keep things simple and easy in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana, to make your visit memorable and fun.
Get out and golf!! It’s a fun sport that is great for all ages. For more information about all of our golf courses, check out our website at www.HomeOfPurdue.com.
