Weekend Update: Swimsuit Skating and “The Old Golds”

Lafayette-West Lafayette Weekend Update! Looking for a fun Indiana weekend getaway? Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by? Check out the endless possibilities for fun events happening this upcoming weekend in or near Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana.

There are always unique events going on in our community. This weekend, join in the fun  at Riverside Skating Center. “Dare to Bear” is a special evening event from 7pm to 8:30pm. This iceskatersatduskunique dress-up skating event has one special rule: you must wear a swim suit to participate. Parents may accompany younger skaters in regular attire. Admission fee is $5.00 and skate rental is $3.00.  Cocoa and pizza will be provided to all the survivors- while supplies last. If you haven’t visited the Delphi Opera House, this weekend poses a wonderful opportunity! Friday night, February 2nd, at 7:30pm, the Opera House presents The Old Golds. They hail 17861816_1317396741673555_8390320004191797184_nfrom Lafayette, Indiana and feature former members of the Woodstove Flapjacks, The No-Ops, James Moon and the Third Floor Invention. Plus, a couple of fresh voices to their ever-expanding musical family. Their line up is as follows: Kim Strother on Guitar/Mandolin/Vocals, Matt Scherger on Guitar/Vocals, James Morrow on Guitar/Vocals, Kaida Richardson on Vocals, Ryan Puetz on Bass, George Buechley on Pedal Steel and David Harmon on Drums.
